Asia-related research is central to the mission of the Liu Institute. The Institute supports specialized working groups, research projects on our organizing theme of Justice and Asia, and the Liu Institute Series on Chinese Christianities with Notre Dame Press.

New Faculty Fellowship Opportunity for 2026-27
The Liu Institute for Asia and Asian Studies and the Institute for Ethics and the Common Good (ECS) will support a visiting scholar to examine ethics and Asia during the 2026-27 academic year. Internal and external scholars are invited to apply for the Love Ethic Faculty Fellowship and/or the Faith and AI Faculty Fellowship through the ECS website by October 13, 2025.
