The Southwest Asia and North Africa Studies (SWANA) working group at the University of Notre Dame is an interdepartmental, interdisciplinary initiative devoted to the responsible exchange of ideas, research and scholarship relevant to the SWANA region. The group consists of faculty members with expertise in various subject areas, including modern and ancient Middle Eastern history, Islamic thought, Islamic law, comparative literature, public policy, and peace studies.
