Lindsay Brown: Women and Politics in Asia

Lindsay Brown is founder and director of The SEGway Project, a nonprofit organization that uses soccer to empower adolescent girls in Nepal and Kenya. An avid soccer player herself, Lindsay won the 2010 NCAA National Championship while playing for the University of Notre Dame. Off the field, Lindsay has been an advocate for the use of sports to promote gender equity in the developing world at the United Nations, Clinton Global Initiative, Google Zeitgeist Forum and has been featured on the Today Show and in Seventeen Magazine. 

Lindsay will be a guest speaker for POLS 30476 (Political Movements in Asia). This talk is open to all.
