Lecture: "Into the Fukushima Exclusion Zone: Japan After the Disaster"

David Schalliol, sociologist and photographer, will be coming to campus to talk about his recent trip to the Tohoku region of Japan where he photographed the stricken region, effected by the nuclear power plant meltdown and the tsunami. David's talk is entitled "Into the Fukushima Exclusion Zone: Japan After the Disaster" and will be presented during the class Humanitarianism and Photography, taught by Liu Institute Faculty Fellow Julia A. Thomas. The talk will take place on Monday, March 24 from 11am to 12:15pm in 334 DeBartolo Hall. All Asianists interested in the issue are welcome to attend.
