Student Opportunities
Whatever your academic pursuit, studying Asia is imperative for understanding the world. The Liu Institute for Asia and Asian Studies provides an intellectual community for the study of Asia at Notre Dame through courses, degree programs, funding opportunities, and experiences for all students.
From a research project in Mumbai to an internship in Hong Kong to meeting a world leader on campus, the Liu Institute invites all students to engage and learn about Asia.
Get Involved
Academics
Take one of over 25 courses each semester or pursue a supplementary major or minor in Asian Studies.
Immersion in Asia
All current students are eligible for grants for Asia-related research, language study, internship, service opportunities, and study abroad. Find your opportunity and craft a proposal.

Study Asia at Notre Dame
Undergraduate students can pursue Asian studies as a supplementary major or minor, open to any Notre Dame student. Earning an Asian studies degree through the Liu Institute, part of the Keough School of Global Affairs, equips you with the skills and knowledge to be competitive in an international environment and to respond to the needs of a global society.
