Michael Davis, a Liu Institute affiliated scholar, has published "Making Hong Kong China: The Rollback of Human Rights and the Rule of Law” (Columbia University Press). The book examines Hong Kong’s transition from a vibrant global center of culture and finance into a subject of authoritarian control.

Michael Davis

Davis is a visiting law professor at the University of Hong Kong. He is also a global fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, DC; a senior research scholar at the Weatherhead East Asia Institute at Columbia University; and a professor of law and international affairs at O.P. Jindal Global University in India.
