Julia Thomas, a history professor and Liu Institute faculty fellow, is a contributor to the 2021-22 UN Human Development Report, "Uncertain Times, Unsettled Lives: Shaping Our Future in a Transforming World." Thomas researches the environment and the Anthropocene and is an intellectual historian of Japan.
