Congratulations to Asian Pacific Alumni of Notre Dame scholarship recipients!

Author: Inez Suhardjo

The Asian Pacific Alumni of Notre Dame offers two very special scholarships to honor Notre Dame undergraduates each year.

The Asian Pacific Alumni of Notre Dame Scholarship is awarded to an Asian Pacific student in need of financial assistance.

The Kenneth Kwak Scholarship for Asian Studies was created to honor the life of Ken Kwak, a devoted husband, father, and alumni of Notre Dame. He was the founding member of the the Asian Pacific Alumni and continued to serve the university even after graduating, until his untimely passing in 2005. Appointed posthumously by University President Fr. John Jenkins, he is one of only ten graduates to ever be awarded the distinction of Distinguished Alumnus of Notre Dame. His legacy lives on through the good work that his friends, family, and fellow Domers do. The recipient of this award can be of any race or ethnicity, so long as he or she demonstrates excellence in the field of Asian Studies.

Honored Recipients
Michael Dinh -- Winner of the APA of ND Scholarship
Hien Luu -- Winner of the Kenneth Kwak Scholarship for Asian Studies

Congratulations, Michael and Hien!
