The Japan Information Center is pleased to announce that applications for the 2017 MEXT Japanese Studies Scholarship are now available. This scholarship offers current undergraduate students majoring in Japanese Language, Japanese Literature, Japanese Studies, or Japanese Culture an opportunity to deepen their understandings through academic study at one of several universities in Japan.
Applications are due on Friday, February 24th. Those who pass the initial application screening will be asked to sit for an interview and Japanese language exam on Friday, March 3rd. Final selection will come from MEXT in June, with scholarship recipients departing for Japan in September this year
