The institute received two endowed gifts that focus on Japan: the Paul and Jane Roberts Endowment for Excellence for the Fukushima Project and the Andree Family Endowment for Japanese Studies and Global Affairs. Paul Roberts ’71 and Tim Andree ’83 both serve on the institute’s advisory board. The Roberts’ gift will support the ongoing examination of resiliency in Fukushima, and the Andrees’ gift will allow the Keough School to invite visiting scholars in Japanese studies.

The new Paul and Jane Roberts Endowment for Excellence for the Fukushima Project will enable more Notre Dame students to take part in the ongoing research project.
