Asian American Distinguished Speaker Series

The Liu Institute launched its Asian American Distinguished Speaker Series in 2021. The series honors innovative, creative, and effective Asian American leaders and celebrates their contributions, especially as visibility of Asian American leadership and success if often overlooked.

The inaugural event on March 11, 2021, featured Ai-jen Poo, co-founder and CEO of the National Domestic Workers Alliance. Marie Lynn Miranda, Notre Dame's Charles & Jill Fischer Provost, served as moderator. The event was cosponsored by Notre Dame's Center for Social Concerns and the Higgins Labor Program.
