Sadhana Naithani: "The writings of the Indian naturalist Jim Corbett and his critique of the colonial exploitation of wildlife"

The subject of Professor Naithani's talk at Notre Dame is the Indian-born naturalist and writer Jim Corbett (1875-1955), who was of Irish descent. Oxford has published many of his writings. The Corbett TIger Preserve in India is named after him.
In her talk, Professor Naithani will explore Corbett's writings and contextualize them as a critique of the colonial exploitation of Indian wild animals, particularly the tiger.
