Cra Poster Panel FvCrazy Rich Asians Film Screening

Based on the best-selling novel of the same name, Crazy Rich Asians became a giant hit, surprising some, becoming the highest-grossing romantic-comedy since 2002’s My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Its success also stood out as the film is the first major Hollywood film in twenty-five years to feature a primarily Asian and Asian-American cast (The Joy Luck Club). The plot follows Rachel Chu (Constance Wu) as she accompanies her longtime boyfriend, Nick (Henry Golding) to his best friend's wedding in Singapore. Surprised to learn of Nick’s expansive wealth and thrust into the spotlight, Rachel must now contend with jealous socialites, quirky relatives, and Nick's disapproving mother (Michelle Yeoh).
