Kalaimamani Nagai Muralidharan is one of the leading violinists of India today. He initially received training from his mother R. Komalavalli, and later from Vidwan R.S. Gopalakrishnan. His skillful handling of the violin and excellent grasp of the raga and laya make him the accompanist of choice of all the leading vidyans. A top-grade artist of All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan (Indian TV), Muralidharan has performed in many countries and is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Government of Tamil Nadu’s "Kalaimamani" (2003), Violinist of the year – Carnatica" (2008) and the Government of India’s Sangeet Natak Academy award (2010). Nagai Sriram started learning violin at the age of ten from his grandmother Smt.R.Komalavalli and received advanced training from his paternal uncle Kalaimamani, Nagai R Muralidharan. He has accompanied many leading musicians and many instrumental ensembles and is an A Grade artist of AIR and Doordarshan. Manargudi A Easwaran, is one among the top percussionists of India. He stepped into the world of rhythm at the age of eight under the guidance of Kuniseri U. Krishnamani Iyer. He has also been under the tutelage of Mridangam maestro Guruvayoor Dorai. He is a top-grade artist of AIR and Doordarshan.
