We encourage all students pursuing a supplementary major or minor in Asian Studies to consider traveling abroad as a means of gaining first-hand experience living and learning in Asia. Notre Dame International offers numerous programs Study Abroad, either during the school year or during the summer, which afford students the opportunity to conduct research and take courses during their undergraduate education.
Courses taken abroad may count toward the Asian Studies supplementary major or minor (up to 12 credit hours for the supplementary major and 6 credit hours for the minor). Please consult with the Asian Studies program coordinator (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you hope to receive Asian Studies credit for courses abroad.
All Notre Dame programs can be located using the following site at Notre Dame International: http://ndi-sa.nd.edu/
Check with your advisor or the Asia Studies DUS for other programs not hosted through Notre Dame.
There are many more opportunities to engage with Asia across campus, whether through existing programs or through the support of various grants and fellowships. Visit the Resources page for more information.
